Acrylic Abstract Painting 

Cost: $30.00

Teacher: Colleen Brand

Days offered: Saturday, 9/25/2021

Time: 12:30pm- 3:00pm

Course Description: Learn new techniques and painting departures to energize your painting and your life. Experiment with layering colors, adding texture, creating mark-making, and dripping paints. We will explore a series of artistic prompts/exercises to support letting go, connecting to intuition, and letting go judging our work. Supply list will be provided.

Alcohol Ink Workshop – NEW!

Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm

Course Description: Discover the magic of alcohol inks. This mercurial, vibrant, wildly colorful medium is a fun way to jump start your creativity. Perfect for beginners or skilled artists, while creating one of a kind artwork great for framing and gift giving. Wear old clothes or bring a smock as these inks can be staining. A materials list will be provided.

Description: Beginning and skilled artists will learn basic oil painting techniques, color theory, composition and rules of perspective. Parents are required to attend the first school aged children to get information regarding materials needed.

Colored Pencils Workshop

Days Offered: Mondays, 11/08/2021 through 11/22/2021

Time: 7:00pm-9:00pm

Description: Improve your coloring skills by learning various techniques for creating your own works of art. You will learn basic color theory, layering, crosshatching, shading, burnishing. Some drawing skill helpful, but not required, all skills levels welcome. Supply list will be provided.

The Art of Drawing:

When:Tuesday 7-9 pm, 10/12/21 – 11/16/21 (6 sessions)

Instructor: Dan Fione

Cost: $105, includes supplies for 1st class*

Description: A basic drawing class, starting with an understanding of how to use Representational techniques when drawing objects. Start with learning the Art of Drawing the Still-life and finishing  with learning how to use artistic anatomy to draw the human form and figure in costume.

The Art of Figure Drawing: Workshop

When: Tuesday, 7-9pm. 12/7/21 & 12/14/21 (2 sessions)

Instructor: Dan Fione

Cost: $48

Description: Learn the principles of drawing drapery and the proportions of drawing the human form, to show the importance of what lies beneath the clothing. Week 1: Male figure in costume, week 2: Female figure in costume. Bring your favorite drawing medium.

Fun With Free Verse Poetry:

When: Thursday, 7-9pm 10/28/21-11/18/21 (4 sessions)

Instructor: Sally Neiderhiser

Cost: $89

Description: Learn how to create free verse poetry using Artistic Expression including imagery, themes, literary characters and your own experiences. There are no constraints by strict rules of other poetry forms…Just Fun!

Bamboo Brush & Ink Painting: Workshop:

When: Saturday, 10/23/21, 1-4pm

Instructor: Ashley Walter

Cost: $65 which includes most supplies

Description: Fun, fast-paced, technique based painting style. Students will explore materials and learn how to utilize them to create mark making to depict birds, bamboo, fish, trees & cursive writing.

Introduction to Printmaking:

When: Monday, 1-4 pm, 11/1 – 11/22 (4 sessions)

Instructor: Barbara Moss Buscher

Cost: $105, includes supplies for 1st class*

Description: Learn about various printmaking techniques, vocabulary & supplies. Using an etching press, you will create original, one of a kind and limited edition works of art. All skill levels welcome.

Printmaking/Mixed Media Class:

When: Tuesday, 1-4pm, 1/4/22-1/25/22 (4 sessions)

Instructor: Barbara Moss Buscher

Cost: $105

Description: Building on printmaking techniques and skills, learn to utilize your prints with a variety of other mediums & materials to create unique works of art based on your own personal style.

Make Art Mondays

Make Art Mondays are monthly 2 hour workshops, held the third Monday of the month, 7-9 p.m., at 125 N. Main Street in North Wales. Try your hand at a wide variety of subjects and media in the company of other artists. Costs for supplies are usually $5.00. Below is a schedule of what we have planned for the year.
