For this month’s project, we will be making Kandinsky Inspired Artworks. Admission costs $5.00. Parking is available in the back of the building off of Second Street. The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen is now accepting applications for their 2022 Holiday Art & Fine Craft Show! This is an indoor juried event, featuring some of the finest arts and crafts in the Philadelphia area.

HGC Fine Art & Craft Shows attract visitors from Philadelphia and its surrounding counties, New Jersey, Delaware and beyond. Our patrons represent an educated and affluent demographic with a taste for exceptional artwork and a sensibility for supporting local businesses.

Time: 10AM – 5PM

The North Penn Arts Alliance is currently looking for a guest speaker for our meeting on June 1st at 7:30pm. Are you looking for a fun and creative activity this May? Then you should try out our upcoming classes over at the North Wales Arts & Cultural Center, located at 125 N. Main Street in North Wales. 

If you are looking for a fun opportunity to do some figure drawing. Then you should try The Art of Figure Drawing: Workshop with Dan Fione. In this class you will learn the principles of drawing drapery and the proportions of drawing the human form, to show what lies beneath the clothing.  This class costs $48, and meets Tuesdays from 7-9 pm on May 10 & 17, 2022. To get the most from this class please bring your favorite drawing medium.

Or maybe you are looking for a fun one day work shop! In which case, take our Bamboo Brush & Ink Workshop with Ashley Walter. This class is suitable for anyone ages 15 and up. In this fun, fast paced, technique based painting style, students will learn how to depict birds, bamboo, fish, trees and more using black Sumi ink and bamboo brushes. Students will also learn how to incorporate color into their work, by creating monochromatic red & pink paintings. This class costs $52 and will meet on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1-4:30 pm. Come out and join us on Wednesday May 4, 2022, for a fun (and free!) Star Wars Day celebration from 7:30-9pm over at the North Wales Arts & Cultural Center, located at 125 N. Main Street in North Wales. In honor of the beloved Science Fiction series, we will be making bookmarks and paper puppets of the characters! Parking is available in the back of the building off of Second Street. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there.

In honor of Earth Day we will be making a Huichol Yarn Art inspired project. Bring a plastic or glass bottle or jar to up-cycle into a  functional work of art. Admission costs $5.00. The North Penn Arts Alliance is currently looking for face-painting volunteers for a summer kick off event on June 4th from 5-7:30 pm. please call us at 215-393-9110 or email us at info@northpennarts.org if you are interested and able to help.

Join us on April 6 at 7:30pm over at the North Wales Arts & Cultural Center, located at 125 North Main Street in North Wales, for a presentation featuring local artist Michael Adams. Over the past two years he has painted a visual narrative of life and nature he has experienced while hiking the trails along Skippack Creek, two miles from his home in Trooper. His detailed watercolors depict the beautiful and surprising landscape, flora and fauna of Evansburg State Park. Michael also photographed and videotaped each painting from start to finish and will talk about that process and his painting techniques.
