On Monday March 19th at 7:00 p.m., the North Penn Arts Alliance will be meeting in our new location for Make Art Monday’s. Our NEW location is 125 N. Main Street in North Wales. The board met in November and it was brought up as a possibility for use to us for “Make Art Monday’s” and our annual Show. Several board members toured the facility and the Board voted in the positive.
125 N. Main Street is also known as St. Luke’s UCC, however the building is also used by another non-profit and the Boy Scouts. We will have use of the two rooms that were built in the 1970’s and used as a community day care. We will also have use of the basement
kitchen area (no cooking available) and the portion used by the congregation for worship. Parking and handicapped parking is behind the building and the lot can hold 25 cars.
What does this mean? It means it is the first step in a partnership with the North Wales Borough to have the North Penn Arts Alliance provide a community art center. After six months further negotiations will take place and determination as to what else the North Penn Arts Alliance can provide for the Community. It also means that we will need to up our game in the fundraising arena and we will need members to help seek and assist with writing of grants.
