This Spring the North Penn Arts Alliance will have two series of classes at two different venues.
The First series of classes will be held at the William B.T. Trego Arts Center which is located at 125 N. Main Street in North Wales, PA. The classes are listed below:
MONDAYS
ADVANCED WATERCOLOR
Instructor: Kass Morin Freeman
For 6 weeks from 12 noon – 2:30pm
Starting on Feb. 11, 2019 and ending on March 18, 2019 Cost: $125
Learn from a national, award winning artist advanced watercolor techniques. Bring an example of your work to the first class and together we will decide what techniques to explore.
MOSAICS WORKSHOP
Instructor: Alissa Blumenthal
For 2 weeks from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Starting on February 25, 2019 and ending on March 4, 2019
Cost: $40. Plus materials fee $18
You will learn tile cutting techniques and mosaic application to create a beautiful, personalized photo frame. All necessary supplies will be provided but you may wish to add found objects or china to make more personal. Materials fee of $18 payable to instructor.
TUESDAYS
BEGINNERS/ INTERMEDIATE WATERCOLOR
Instructor: Barbara Moss Buscher
For 8 weeks from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
starting on February 12, 2019 to April 2, 2019
Cost: $125
Learn color theory and composition basics. Utilize your own photos, still life, and your imagination, to experiment with various painting techniques. Supplies to be discussed in first class. Bring notebook and pencil to class.
PEN & INK WORKSHOP
Instructor: Barbara Moss Buscher
For 4 weeks from 1:00pm to 3:00pm starting on May 7, 2019 and ending on May 28, 2019
Cost: $75
Learn about types of pens, papers and techniques to create your own masterpieces.
Supplies to be discussed in first class, bring notebook/sketch book and pencil to first class.
WEDNESDAYS
CREATIVE WRITING: POETRY & PROSE for KIDS grades 5-8

Adult Multi Media

Description: Explore a variety of mediums & techniques, which may include pen & ink, printmaking, watercolor, drawing, alcohol inks, collage, fabric arts, and 3 dimensional projects to create original works of art. Learn about different styles, genres of art and various folk art techniques with each project. All skill levels welcome. A $40 materials fee will be payable to instructor on first night of class. Please bring pencil and notepaper to class.

Intuitive Acrylic Painting Workshop -NEW

Fee: $83.00 plus a $45.00 Supply fee.
Description: Intuitive Painting is a liberating experience for all
skill levels. This workshop offers a variety of new techniques
and painting departures to energize your paintings and your life.
Using acrylic paints, experiment with layering colors, adding
texture, creating mark-making, and pouring paints. Paint pouring
is a form of abstract painting using fluid paints and allowing
gravity to move the paint without a preconceived notion of final
product. Explore a series of artistic exercises to support letting
go, connecting to intuition abstracting your work and letting go
of judging our work. Supply fee $45 payable to instructor first
class. Please register 1 week prior to first class to allow for ordering
supplies.
