Kim Tatum Robbins is an award winning artist who has been creating art for decades. She will be speaking at the North Wales Art & Cultural Center, 125 N. Main Street in North Wales on Wednesday, March 4, 7 p.m.
After raising her two sons, she is now back in the studio rediscovering her love for oil painting. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years and their dog and cat. Aside from her art, Kim also devotes time to coaching youth basketball and track.
“Lucy”
Kim’s oil painting “Lucy” was awarded 2nd place in the highly competitive juried 2019 Meadowood Art Show. “Lucy” also received a special Award of Merit and “Blueberries” got an Honorable Mention at the 2019 North Penn Arts Alliance Art Exhibition. “Blueberries” additionally received 2nd place at the Greater Norristown Art League Exhibition. “Holy Cow!” won the Peoples Choice Award at the Ambler Fall Arts Festival.
KimmyArt currently has some originals and prints available at galleries/shops in Ambler, Kutztown and Conshohocken, PA.
Her education includes a Fine Arts/Art Education degree from Kutztown University. As a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, she has lived in and around the Philadelphia area. She has been in Plymouth Meeting, PA for over 20 years.

Regina Coyle crafts colorful representations of objects from everyday life as if they were viewed through a kaleidoscope of vibrant color, optimistic whimsy, and childlike imagination.
By carefully combining mirrored, translucent, and opaque glass materials which each react to sunlight differently, the appearance of each piece takes on the mood of its surroundings at any given moment in time.

Learn about the work of American Traditional Tattoo Artist Erik Sacony as the North Penn Arts Alliance Speaker Series kicks off on Wednesday, January 8 at 7 p.m. at the Trego Arts Center at St. Luke’s Church, 125 N. Main Street in North Wales. Park in the lot behind the building on Second Street.
A lifelong artist, Erik has been into art of all kinds since a young age. His interest in tattooing came while in high school, as he began drawing tattoo designs for friends. It was at that time he began studying the icons— Bert Grimm, Cap Coleman, Sailor Jerry, Lyle Tuttle, and Philadelphia Eddie. While attending West Chester University, he studied art history while majoring in graphic design. It was then he began incorporating the art or tattooing into his portfolio.
Since graduating WCU, he not only continued his passion for the arts, but is also a successful Real Estate investor in Phila. He has had multiple art showcases and completed his tattoo apprenticeship and has since been bringing his love for American Traditional Tattooing to life with each tattoo.
Note that, while traditionally, the series is held on the first Wednesday of the month, this will be January 8 to avoid the New Year’s holiday.
Bring a wrapped small piece of your own original art and go home with a piece of another artist’s work! Also bring a finger food or dessert to share. What a great way to open the holiday season!

Did you know that North Wales was the home of a late 19th century artist who created more than 200 historical paintings — causing writer to Edwin Augustus Peeples to say, “There is probably not an American History book which doesn’t have a Trego picture in it.”
Outside of the history books, the new Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia has recreated Trego’s March to Valley Forge on pillows, mugs and more.

Design your own Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Mask at the October Make Art Monday!
The Mexican tradition of sugar skulls is for families to decorate their loved ones’ Day of the Dead altars with both large and small handmade sugar skulls. Children who have died, represented by small sugar skulls, are celebrated on November 1. The larger sugar skulls represent the adults, whose celebration takes place on November 2. It is believed that the departed return home to enjoy the offering on the altar.
We’ll be decorating Day of the Dead Sugar Skull masks with traditional designs at the next Make Art Monday, October 21, 7 p.m. at the Trego Arts Center at St. Luke’s, 125 N. Main St., North Wales. $5
